Robyn M. Adair, Esq.

Ms. Adair is the Principal and Founder of The Dirigo Group, LLC.

For nearly two decades, Ms. Adair worked on a multitude of legal and policy issues within all levels of New York State government, most recently serving as the Acting State Inspector General under Governor Kathy Hochul. Previously, Ms. Adair held several positions in the Executive Chamber as Assistant Counsel to the Governor and Special Counsel for Ethics, Risk and Compliance where she drafted legislation, negotiated with the State legislature and advised executive staff on practical approaches to mitigate various kinds of internal and external risks.

Ms. Adair’s roots are in environmental law and policy- particularly environmental crimes, water quality and water pollution abatement- and she remains a supporter of the important work of the State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and associated stakeholder groups.

Ms. Adair began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Rensselaer County, worked extensively with the DEC police and forest rangers, and supervised hundreds of criminal and administrative investigations over the course of her career.

She graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Law School and is admitted to practice law in the courts of New York State. She is a home brewer and recently obtained her professional certificate from Cornell University in Craft Brewing. Ms. Adair resides in the Albany area with her two children and their bevy of pets.
